I've had the same damn problem happen twice in a couple of weeks: cable for a really nice backlit keyboard accidentally fell in front of the heater and got melted. Managed to find another, connected it up and made sure the cable was tucked in under some magazines on the desk so that it couldn't happen again... but guess what? It did!! So now for a second time I'm using the on-screen keyboard, which is super slow and fiddly. Anybody know if it's possible to get a keyboard re-cabled?
