Checking my bank account my wife’s weekly pension payment has been 11 days between each. One on the 31st Dec one on the 11th Jan. Should I expect the next one for her on the 14th Jan?
My weekly pension payment date is different. Could I request both our payments to be on the same day. Being different payment dates. It would make keeping an eye on things easier.

the 31st dec one was probably early because of the holidays, personally i'd look at her letter (which should tell you how often it will be paid) or expect the 18th as the next payment
State Pension payments are normally made every four weeks in arrears but they can be paid weekly in advance.

The pay day is based on the final on the final two digits of your National Insurance (NI) Number. Monday is the pay day for numbers 00-19 and so on until 80-99 which have a Friday pay day.

The pay days are allocated automatically by the payment systems and although legislation allows the Secretary of State to allocate a different day, in the many years I worked for DWP, I never came across someone where that happened.

Having been allocated a pay day, I'm not aware it's even possible to change it now.
Was surprised yesterday to find a payment of £25 from 'DWP CWP' - turned out to be a Cold Weather Payment. Anyone else had one? It was cold last week, but not that cold!
Thanks, didn't know it went by postcode. A pleasant surprise.
It's only been 11 days on one or two occasions, surely...before and after Christmas, so that payments aren't made several days late.
For the Cold Weather Payments, postcodes are linked to specific weather stations and the temperature has to be or forecast to be 0°C for seven consecutive days.

The weather stations are meant to represent the conditions in the linked postcodes but it doesn't always work and areas can be freezing but the linked weather station can have a higher temperature.
