their surnames begin with either M or O'something?
Could you clarify a point that was raised on this before - is there a space to add the link?

ie - does the link form a separate question?
If you don’t have the paper Mamyalynne I ‘ll try and explain. The quiz by Marcus Berkmann was published in the paper on New Year’s Day.It is in several sections one of which has the pictures of the ten authors. The question then says,These ten writers have something in common other than(and here’s a clue)their possibly Irish or Scottish backgrounds. Can you name them and discover the link?
Also Brian O’Nolan better known as Flann O’Brien.Entry then to be hand written.
But I repeat again, nowhere in the quiz is a question number for the "link" bit.
Only thought I have is that Mc,Mac and O’ mean son or descendant of.
I see.
No but surely is implied Angie.
It's implied there is a link. It implies that by finding the 10 answers you'll discover the link. But that section only has 10 numbered questions for the 10 pictures, not 11.
I've done picture quizzes where 20 images appear and then question 21 is 'How are 1 - 20 linked' then there is a space for that answer alone.
I agree Mamya, but in this case, there's no space for Q11 in that round.

Thanks - does the entry have to be hand written?

Postal entry, I typed mine and sent it - no option for online.

Thanks. Did you figure out what the link was? Also, did anyone notice that there are only 9 photographs showing in the picture quiz but ten answers? And a TYPO - the book entitled “Quite” should have been “quiet’
In the quiz as published in the newspaper there are 10 photographs of authors which are perfectly clear.
Drmorgans did you find a link to send in with your entry?

No, as I said I printed off my answers and posted them.

The only link I could think of for the photos was Mc / Mac & O' denoting descendant of.
Yes I agree, as I posted previously this is the only connection that fits for all ten as far as I can see.

I didn’t get the newspaper but used the online version
