Can I introduce you to one of my favourite animal charities, Manor Farm? They look after disabled farm animals, animals that the world has given up on.

This is their website, where you can buy calendars, a great Christmas gift (sorry for the plug!):

https://www.manorfarmcharitabletrust.org

And this is a short film showing one of their residents, a one-legged duck, and as Di, who runs the place, says: "He won't give up, so I won't give up on him."

With people like this in the world, much of the darkness recedes.

Allen.

And my dog rescue charity I posted when I adopted Jay. Actually. I would be really surprised and disappointed if Allen's post was to be removed and stayed removed.

Good job we got people like this in the world..
So heart warming in these dark times.
There are some amazing people doing wonderful things, there's always light.

Lovely Allen.

Looks like advertising to me, naughty.
Try not to be so churlish Baldric.

It's blatant advertising Mamya.
From the Site Rules:

"The AnswerBank is a general knowledge exchange and is not to be used to market, sell or promote any product, service, project or organisation."
By that token there should be no future Poppy threads.

Report it and see what the Editor thinks.

Have done Mamya.
Reported it? How sad is that?
So product recommendations are not permitted?

UM, see post at 1346, it might help you understand.

You too tigger, 1346
‘ what little things irritate you ‘ ?. Let me think :-)
OK,Baldric or Tashi, whatever name you are using today.
Thank you, Allen. I'm looking for a some nice charity Christmas cards. Boots and Chaos suit me fine.
Whilst you are at your reporting Baldric , why not go through every quiz in the Monthly round up - you know, the ones being sold for Hospices,Cancer charities and others?

You might be able to turn even more folk's lights out and plunge them a bit deeper into the darkness.
Lighten up, Baldric!..

Well, if I’ve offended, so be it.

But a) such a wonderful, non-profit organisation lifts (most) people’s spirits

and b) I’ve rarely seen such a petty-minded response as above, not in fact since 3rd year primary when Pat Smith used to regularly cry “Miss, miss, Allen’s done xxx or xxx”. But even Pat Smith wouldn’t have called ‘umm’ over disabled ducks.

Shame on you.

Patsy, see post at 1346
Just for that...when I'm in a particularly mischievous mood...I will post a link to the charity I'm adopting a cat from.
Take that, all you miserable so and so's...
