This is from the RSPB Conwy Quiz, closing date 31 January 2020. It clearly states on the quiz sheet not to ask for clues or answers on Q&A sites.

Angie, the Ed's view is that if a question is posed it should be answered.It is up to the poster whether or not the rules of the competition are abided by.

Angie, the 'rules' on any quiz are in no way binding - on AB or anywhere else. The Ed/SpareEd points this out quite often.

Angie, quizzes are not legal contracts! My personal view - not the Ed's - is that people should abide by what's said on the actual quiz, but it is not up to us to monitor it, point out the error in solvers' ways. You/one could spend all day doing that!

Jj, actually canonball has realized she shouldn’t have asked in the first place. The previous Ab Editor agreed we could point out if a quiz was no asking. If the new Ab Editor wants to change that, she needs to say so.
