It is him banker - but he was a very ill dog in that avatar. He was very badly treated by his last owner and therefore a very frightened, submissive wee critter coming to me every second putting his paw on my knee - like saying he was "sorry". That broke my heart.
Now he is just lovely and we have "conversations" every day.
The other night - I gave a him a choice of a Pedigree dental stick or Sainsbury's - he picked Sainsburys. Sorry for going on about him cos I know everybody loves their animals too.
We have a 9 year old Cairn - numerous phobias, trailers, white vans, noisy lorries and hates black labradors and standard poodles. A real character who will walk miles and eat all day if you let him.
I've got both. An elderly lurcher(whippet x) and an elderly deaf cat. The cat drives me crazy, as he's constantly 'talking'...but I worry when he's quiet.
I've always been a crazy cat lady, but love dogs also. Decided to get a sighthound because of their gentleness and non-bouncey nature. I had to wait a bit for a perfect, cat friendly match.
After losing our old moggy last year (18 years old, Fazioli), we have had Eric (British Shorthair) since Christmas. He is now 10 months old and very vocal, he tells me we have settled in nicely!! Would not be without a cat, and am thinking of getting a dog maybe next year.
No pets at all for me now, Frank. When the children were at home we had all sorts and they were good at caring for them. Then they left home...the kids not the pets....and I took over all the care....well just two cats by then.
I get nothing out of caring for indoor pets and prefer my house without them....I feel the same way about potted plants now too..... :-)
