Every evening a beautiful hare arrives and sits outside our dining room window.
If I ask Dave to cook for him tomorrow what should I put on the menu?..x

Hare today, gone tomorrow!
Can I assume that jugged hare is out of the question?
Make sure you stress the word 'for'. x

Oh I hope not, Ellie.....he's wonderful to watch....x

I will stress "for" Mamya or Chris may have it!......Although Dave seems to be smitten with the hare...... :-)
Salad medley?
I've never eaten hare just rabbit, shotgun pellets were a pain to get out.

Patsy....I put out a tray of various lettuce and carrots for him and he turned his nose up.....seems to love weeds and we have plenty of those...x

Well I won't be shooting him, Tony!
I read your post as “to cook him tomorrow “!

Sorry, Helly......we couldn’t do that...he’s become a friend now....x
Give him a name - someone once said that it would be difficult to kill or eat an animal you've named.

Once they have a name they are a person/friend.

I will name him, Wolf......so I can put it on the place card and he'll know where to sit..... :-)
'Waiter, waiter, there's hare in my soup.'
'Yes sir, we ran out of chicken.'
I've seen a picture of this visitor and it looks like a bunny to me. I thought hares had huge ears.
Well if he or she is not for dinner , I would suggest broccoli, rabbits are not meant to eat lettuce , not good for them and not too many carrots either too much sugar . They do like kale though.

It's a hare, Wolfie...a lettuce and carrot hating hare... :-)
