Just curious for your opinions as I’m being given all different sorts of answers.
I have an online FB group where I advertise all the products I sell, and where I take orders. Have had it for about 2 years. Anyway, I was talking to a friend who has a similar group and she was saying that every year about September time she gives a raffle ticket free with every order she delivers, and then in December she does a draw and the prize is a huge hamper of various goodies/products.
I thought this was a fab idea and told Mr Smow and he said no you can’t do that as it’s gambling and FB won’t allow it. So I spoke to another couple of people, including my friend and she said no it’s not, she’s openly done it for years and FB have never said a thing.

So whose right??

I’m on various Lego groups some run draws where you buy a number and some have stopped doing it because they say it’s against Site Rules. Maybe you will have to contact FB and see what they say.

It’s so confusing...
I am on about three groups where they sell numbers for dog charities
Think you'll find that raffles are allowed on FB but there are very strict guidelines to which you must adhere.

Where can I find these rules??
Can't do links, smow, but i've just Googled "Facebook Raffle Rules" and arrived at a site where they are listed in a step by step guide.

Ahh brilliant. I’ll take a look now - thanks Ken.

3. Real money gambling
Policy
Adverts that promote or facilitate online real money gambling, real money games of skill or real money lotteries, including online real money casinos, sport books, bingo or poker, are only allowed with prior written permission. Authorised gambling, games of skill or lottery adverts must target people over the age of 18 who are in jurisdictions for which permission has been granted.
Examples
Portraying or encouraging irresponsible gambling behaviour
Presenting gambling as an income opportunity or employment alternative
Content using currency symbols unrelated to a specific monetary amount
from my perspective its not gambling as you are not charging for entry into raffle, its more like a free gift providing someone gets a prize each month.
It might be more beneficial to your business to create a promotional post and state that everyone who shares it, get entered into a draw. On the given date you select one of the sharers at random for a prize. The prize could be a small free gift or a small discount on their next order, but you will have reached a new bunch of customers.
