Hi. Hoping someone can help me. I’ve had a quote rattling round my head of three days and I can’t remember for the life of me where it comes from. The quote is “ all in good time, my friend, all in good time. “ I think it might be a male saying it? I keep thinking of Simon Pegg?? A friend suggested it came from the film Rocknrolla but that’s not it. Can anyone help me?!!

All in good time, my love, all in good time..
Phoebe from Friends
All in good time, Mark. All in good time. Sheik Mansoor to an impatient Mark Hughes before sacking him. "All in good time" meant City were working to win the Premier League for the first time.
Sounds like something David Suchet's Hercule Poirot used to say in the Poirot TV series
Didn't realise there was a duplicate when I responded on this.

Yes, the phrase comes up in several books. Socrates says it in one.

Exactly, there are many hits - it really depends which one Prettygroovy has in mind.
A very common phrase, used to ask someone to be patient.
When you're done with this, can I have the origin of 'How's it goin'?
Too tough for me that one Doug, anyway Uni Challenge is on ;-)
