Well done smouse... Cheers
Your question prompted me to do it online. I have just finished got 57 better than I thought
Just did it on line scored 57. Better than I thought too!!

Just took it online - scored 55, but I mis-clicked on one I knew, because I was rushing it a bit.

Thought I'd do better than that!

I think you're all amazingly tolerant! I'd never seen any of their earlier 'Test The Nation' quizzes, so I thought I'd have a go at taping and watching this one. When they hadn't reached even Question 1 after ten minutes of pointless waffle, I fast-forwarded and heard the first dozen or so. That was enough for me, I'm afraid. The presenters and their presentation was - in my opinion - utterly atrocious. Never again...but what the hey!..well done to those of you who scored highly.
Hey.... I got 58. I was quite chuffed with myself.
Oh, dear! I made a mistake in English whilst criticising a quiz about the subject! I should, of course, have used 'were' after 'presentation' and not 'was'!
(Thought I'd better point that out before anyone else did.)
Do it on line Quizmonster. No waffle there!!

got 60 but didn't agree that the understanding rounds were about English - more about auditory memory.

I agree with dwil, the observation questions were nothing to do with understanding the English language.  Got 50/70 on the night but my scores got lower as my Stella intake went up!!
I got 55 and beat my 30 year old daughter. Looks like 30 year olds didn't do too well.
I got 60 but I teach english so perhaps i should have done well. What let me down were the questions where you needed a good memory, nothing to do with english!

I didn't see it on the day so I missed all the waffle when I took it on-line this evening (Mon).  I too got 57 but had hoped to do better than that.  Fortunately though, I am not an English teacher so there is was no sense of shame. I agree about the understanding rounds - I had competition/interference from the TV (wife watching) and didn't do so well on those.
