2. panel pin?
1 play pop?

2 press pad?
4 pound puppy ?
pound pooch?
The setter of this quiz specifically says no asking on the internet. Which is why I do her excellent quizzes.
I've never heard the term 'play pop' to mean telling off but it seems it's local slang somewhere

... although the clue suggests the answer should be " playing pop"
3. Party plans? (Think that's what they called "Tupperware-type "parties)
Don't waste your time telling them Gill they already know but don't care.

I can't understand why people want to spoil a quiz for others. I often send this quiz in with gaps what satisfaction can be derived from filling answers in that people have given you, after all its £10 prize its not life changing.
I have never completed a Magpas quiz yet, mine are always sent in with gaps or silly answers for around 4 of the questions. I really enjoy the challenge and know that the answers I have put down have been through my own perseverance of searching.
don't usually bother chorley9 I know they ignore setter's wishes.
Cannot understand people who ask on the web either have the satisfaction of completing it by myself or send it in incomplete. As furrypussycat says it's through your own endeavours.
I don't think that there is anything wrong with asking for help, provided the compiler has not requested that it not be done.
^ see post @ 10.13 danny
Which is precisely what the setter of this quiz has done.
Ellie, yes I saw that post, I was just making a remark following the posts by
Chorley9 & furrypussycat.
My post refers specifically to the Magpas quiz which is what this quiz is, hence my remarks. I don't have a problem with people helping if it isn't against the setter's request.
Yes the setters wishes should be respected but I can't see how asking for help spoils it for others. In the lists for help there is always the title of the quiz and the beginnings of the question. You can only see the answers if you click on the link to the answers. Surely it makes sense that if you don't want to know, then you don't click on it.
Here we are again, same old, same old..... from comments that are made when the quizzes are returned, most with gaps here and there, it does make a difference to those who struggle and then give up without seeking help. Also those who get extra help may well eventually find all the answers and outrule those honest and respectful people who have gaps. However, all I can do is ask politely for those doing magpas quizzes not to seek internet help, and most respect this request without any problem.
There will always be the odd ones who will not.
