Well if they all start to charge for Net access; never. Probably never anyway since holding a paper to read is a different experience to peering at a screen.

yeah your probably right

And newspapers don't need recharging...
About a year ago the supermarket chains ordered that lads mags had to have plain wrapped covers on them. That severely hit sales, and that is why they have folded, not due to the internet.

I expect the number of physical newspapers will dwindle, but I doubt all will completely disappear. Like vinyl records, the printed paper will have a niche market of people who are prepared to pay for them.

gromit nuts went in april due to falling sales of what you said and the internet,
the sun is my paper which is stopping charging to access which without the internet is a saving of £3.60 a week over the last decade newspaper sales have drastically dipped because of the internet
The lads mags publishers are not going to say they have gone out of business because the feminists ruined them by making them cover the front pages. But that is what happened. In some cases, the Supermarket cover up haved sales making the mags unprofitable.
Question Author
gromit my point was will we eventually see an end to newspapers probably not now maybe when we live in the jetsons style era
