Hiya, not sure if this is the right section and apologies if its been raised before ( I had a look but couldnt find anything) but surely this is some kind of scam? having watched oit twice lately, no-one has got the answers, its the one where they show you a box with dates etc. and you have to add all the numbers - last night was Beatles No 1's and it had five songs with dates like 2/9/63 4/7/64 8/11/67 etc. etc. - some callers even answered the total as being 1 or 4 ???? Ive yet to see anyone win, is this how it usually happens - out of curiosity, for 67 for example, presumably you add up the 6, the 7 AND the 67 ?? anyway, just curious really, seems like they have stool pigeons calling in and any genuine caller who MAY have a correct answer would probably not get through.
Just wondered if anyone had any opinions?
Cheers

Think it says 75p per call and you pay whether you go through or not - definitely seems some sort of a scam, but when I saw it recently no-one got it, so they "had" to give away 1000 on a pixelated photo of Robbie Williams - the phones were silent up until 10 seconds remaining and someone who had rang earlier got through and won it.
who did they give it to ..the producers wife ?
its a lot of people paying 75p for nothing
but you did ask for any opinions ...and thats mine ....
tread carefully

Cheers Beerbelly, dont get me wrong, i have absolutely no wish to get involved, but its "almost" entertaining watching the callers coming through - it probably is the producers wife/husband - surely theres got to be some kind of independent audit on these shows ?
they probably audit themselves ..and do very nicely out of it

It seems to me like a licence to print money!

More importantly, has anyone seen a winner?

In this case, what was the problem as set. What was the correct answer and how was it reasoned? Always assuming that logic HAD BEEN applied!

I suspect that there IS a rationale behind each poser - but it will be so devious that no-one will ever discover it. By keeping everyone in the dark, they are able to continue with their dishonest trade and fleece the gullible.

What more can you expect from a robber baron like Murdoch!
hmmmm........
don't be conned !!    even if you get through, you are not guaranteed a try at the answer.   Once was enough for me - never again.
There is a big discussion about this on 123Quiz.net - worth a look.

Thanks for the feedback, I wouldn't try to be honest and would guess that any correct answers (if there is actually such a thing) wouldnt get through anyway? be interesting if they explained the answers though :-)

Myself , my foolish husband and daughter all tried and didnt get ' through'.I have checked my Aol Talk bill and we have been charged ten quid for the privilage of being on the phone ten seconds.RIP OFF.Saying that we were daft enought to fall for the presenters delaying tactics and no-one forced us to phone.

Beware!!!
