I love jigsaws and painting by numbers (i know, i know!) very theraputic (sp?) - stops me strangling the kids!
hmm, well i think danceing is a great hobbie because if you have a few lessons you can meet new people and will give you new moves! also the best way to get tonned and fit and can do it in your own home.! Also cooking is quite good im getting really into it at the moment when you have all the right ingrediants and everythink goes right the end result can be really exciting.! my hobbie is tennis but of course you cant do that aty home without a tennis court!
Painting and drawing?
I like jigsaws .Also card making.I do an awful lot of knitting and enjoy crossword puzzles. In fact I am addicted to crossword puzzles. Mind you these are winter pastimes really. At this time of the year my main hobby is the garden.
Try learning to play a musical instrument. If you want something frustratingly (but very rewarding) difficult, I would recommend the guitar.
dance mat is really fun.
Scrapbooking is my latest - great fun, totally addictive, and you are producing a real heirloom. I also do cross stitch, made my own cards, and make and sell jewellery. If you want something to make money as well, try ebay selling - I love it!

Yeah, I'd go with the scrap booking too. Its the latest thing with new specialised shops opening up everywhere, it's really taking off. I've been doing it for about 6 months and love it. A lot of people do it and move into the card making side of it too. My mate makes loads of money on her cards but she doesn't do it for that purpose, thats just a bonus!!

My sister has just started teaching herslef calligraphy, thats another idea.

Thanks guys youve all gave me something to think about but without sounding stupid what is scap booking and calligraphy?

I do cross stitch.

You can do really easy things - or move on to more advanced!

There are loads of great deals on ebay to look at. Start with something simple so yo udont put yourself off!

Jewellry making - great to do at home and you can be very creative, there are heaps of places that sell what you need these days, the sky is the limit.

Also, I do knitting, puzzles, painting creatively (figurines etc., cross stitch and tapestry, mind you, I have all things going at once which is good because i can choose to do anything depending what mood im in because i have so many options.
