New Quiz Available

Quiz No 8 - The Natural World in aid of East Anglian Air Ambulance is now available. Quiz contains 50 questions with the no. of letters for each answer given. If you would like a copy please send £1 + SAE to Mrs J Close, 1 Long Lane, West Winch, King's Lynn, Norfolk PE33 0PG (cheques payable to EAAA). Closing date is 22nd June 2012.

Please note question 3 has been voided.

The winner of Quiz No 7 (My Visit to the Zoo) was Jenny Hadingham from Market Rasen with second prize going to Judy Richardson from Northampton. A total of £248 was raised for EAAA so many thanks to all of you who contributed.

Quizzes for Charity is running its Annual Postal Quiz in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. The closing date is 1st March 2012. There is a first prize of £100 and many other prizes too, including 'spot prizes', so no need to be an 'Egghead'. The quiz consists of 130 questions, puzzles and pictures ranging from the easy to the difficult. The quiz costs £7 (payable to 'Quizzes for Charity' and can be obtained from QfC, 196 Telford Avenue, Stevenage, Herts SG2 0AU. The quiz can be sent via email if an address is included.
Sorr I missed out Duchy Close off the Save the Children's Quiz advert. I was so excited at being able to advertise the quiz on this site!!! Please forgive.
The January Quiz for Macmillan Cancer Support is now available at http://www.justgiving.com/theJanuaryQuiz or by post from "January Quiz" c/o The King's Head, 19 Maiden Lane, STAMFORD, Lincolnshire PE9 2AZ by sending SAE and minimum £2 donation.

There will be a prize of £30 John Lewis vouchers for the first correct entry drawn from the hat after the closing date of 29th February 2012.

The quiz consists of 200 British & Irish placenames defined by cryptic crossword-style clues.

Answerbank users are kindly requested to refrain from seeking or giving out answers to this quiz, but this does not preclude the odd little hint being posted during the week before the closing date.

Lincoln Cat Care "M People" Quiz

Thanks to everyone who bought a copy of our "L People" Quiz, which closed on Monday. There were 84 entries returned, of which 37 were all-correct.
The winner of the £10 draw was Miss Y. Lind of Dumfries, and the random £5 draw winner was Ian Thomas of Grantham. This quiz raised £170 for Lincoln Cat Care.
