We thought of Jon and his family today as he was laid to rest close to where we live near Rutland. Although we didn't know him personally, we were so sad to hear of the tragic accident. We admired his work so much with the Red Arrows, we love seeing them when they fly right over our garden on their flight path. From now on every time we see their display manoeuvre of the famous heart with the arrow - made from their vapour trails in the sky we will remember Jon with pride. The Red Arrows are a National Treasure and must stay ..................

A terrible thing to happen, but they are so brave, and it is so dangerous. Their displays are wonderful to watch, although I found it heart-breaking to see them doing their displays without him.
