For the final time, this is “King Wickedtongue”, bloodied but not beaten. Last week, I was taken to the cleaners regarding the large number of points I shed. I note since then that the wind and rain have kept keen gardeners indoors. I know that crofter has been forced to take shelter more often than he would wish. When he asked me if I shared his hobby, I had to respond “NO WAY! You must be having a larf”.
I suppose that I should show more interest in gardening since, when I was young, my father worked as a full-time gardener! Every year, he would attend the local Flower Show at Shrewsbury. You’d be surprised with the lengths gardeners would go to delay/advance flower development so that there exhibits reached perfection at the appointed time. I do remember that all his spare time was spent on his allotment and there were always fresh flowers and vegetables in the home.
Good Morning from cold, wet and windy Ontario where no gardening is being done either. May 28th looks and feels more like October 28th.
