14a Weed played for time, lacking heart (6) ?A?T?D
For those not doing this, each across solution has one letter which needs moving to a new position in that word before entry into the grid. The solution is a real word.
This is the last one and for some reason it's driving me potty. Not seeing it at all.

played for time could be STALLED, lacking 'heart' (middle) would be STALED. So moving the T would give SALTED. But I'm not sure how that means WEED, unless 'weed' means 'urinated' and 'salted' is a slang term I've never heard of.

That's spot on! Stale, according to Chambers, means "urine, now esp of horses" and to stale means to urinate. I'd considered the urinary potential of 'weed' but I'd never have got there without your help. Thank you!
Ah! I was assuming that the transformed word had to meet the definition. Glad to have inadvertently helped.
