30 The Mystery of Edwin Drood
Sorry!! I didn't read that properly you wanted hints. :-/
Question Author
Yes I did ask for hints, but thanks so much JimJools, it was driving me mad! Perhaps I will sleep tonight now!
The nine numbers you have stated are each the product of two numbers with a unique characteristic .
Q50) you might hit the bull to finish
freediew - please do not post GBQ or GFQ questions on here. I'm sure you are aware that the question setter has specifically requested that his questions are not posted on here (or anywhere else). Please don't spoil a great quiz.
Bill asked us not to ask for any clues, hints or answers on cheats websites. If you can't work out easy questions like this don't enter the quiz. There's always some twit that will respond and spoil the fun for others. Hopefully we may work out who you are from your screen name.

Dear boysinblue68 - I was NOT aware that the question setter had requested that his questions were not posted on here or elsewhere - however - I feel he is living in a dream world if he thinks his questions will not be asked SOMEWHERE on the internet , afterall, is that not what the internet is designed for - to search for knowledge ?? - and I do feel justified in only asking for HINTS ( albeit one of the hints I have been given does rather give the "game" away!)

Podger123 - Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear - What IS the world coming to when obvious idiots like me are told not to enter a quiz just because they are too dense to work out some of the answers?? If everyone who did not know an answer did that, the quiz would soon fold, and then people like yourself - who sit in judgement on people like me - who are obviously far less intelligent than you - would have to find something else to fill their tiny lives!!
freddiew - you've hit the nail on the head. GBQ and GBF are struggling simply because too many answers are being given away on here (and other sites). A lot of the people who enter these quizzes have some integrity, but many do not. There are an increasing number who only enter if they know they are going to get every question correct and therefore more or less guarantee them winning a prize. This obviously affects the prize money available. There are also some who clearly state they will no longer do the quiz because it is being spoiled by answers being given away in the public domain. Again, this is another nail in the coffin of such quizzes.

It is one thing searching the internet yourself, it is an entirely different thing to ask someone else to give you the answer on here.
Ah the trolls come out to play. Ignore podger and boysinblue. (I assume they are the same person). They seem to believe they are the answerbank police.

With that in mind, I am more than happy to tell you that the answer to 50 is 100 comes next and 1250 will be last. They are pairs of numbers on a dartboard going clockwise multiplied together. So (1x18), (4x13) (6x30)and so on finishing with (25x50) for the outer and inner bull.

I wouldn't have posted this answer if the trolls hadn't posted. Good luck with your entry and feel free to ask any more you struggle with.
Well said, squarebear.
People like boysinblue68 and/or podger123 should mind his/her/their own business.
Anyone who looks up an answer in Google, or in a book, or who asks another member of their family, is a cheat, I suppose?
Question Author
Thanks for your support squarebear and aquagility!!

boysinblue68 - I did NOT ask for the answers - I only wanted pointing in the right direction - I would have then been able to find the answers myself.
I do not see why the quiz should struggle because entrants CAN find the answers?? I actually stopped doing GBQ because it got too hard for dimwits like me, and now GFQ seems to be heading that way too. Perhaps all the cleverclogs want us dumbos to drop out so that they will have more chance of winning...wait for it...the massive sum of 25!!...but getting 50 correct answers does not mean you will win a prize anyway, and hey - it is supposed to be a FUN quiz.
Gosh what a lot's been going on while a girl takes a break.
squarebear's had a chance to butt in where not wanted and air 'superior; knowledge again and saved us looking up our own answers. We all know that if he/she had been awake when freddiew had posted the question he/she would have not resisted putting the answer just to wind up the AB police. Also The Listener entrants and compiler in a tizzy and the Quizmailers too.
Think I'll join the trolls! I can't imagine anyone being driven to distraction by a couple of questions when the quiz doesn't close for weeks.
Maybe squarebear is also JimJools.

As ******* ******** used to say "Well I only arsked!!"
First one to get who said that gets a house point!
All good fun though eh?
squarebear and aquagility - true to form I see.

Let's get a few things straight I if may (and I'll continue to be polite-perhaps you should take note of that). I am not podger123 in disguise-though I do share his/her views. I am not nor have ever claimed to be "the site police". My "name" is nothing to do with the constabulary in any form-it's actually sport related and the number is significant-but that's not the first time I've told you that is it squarebear?

Searching for an answer in the internet, looking in a book, going to the library, asking the "other half"-all things you can do yourself-no one else will be aware of any answer you may have found-so that's not cheating Aquagility, but you obviously know that, don't you? Asking the question on here or similar sites just puts the answers in the public domain for all the lazy people to see. Some of us actually like to do the hard work ourselves (and go up against like minded people) - that is becoming less and less possible with people like squarebear and co around. How many more quizzes are you going to ruin squarebear?

And Aquagility, you won't find me telling you to mind your own business-you are more than entitled to your opinion just as I and others are. Unfortunately you tend not to be so polite as I recall from previous posts.
Question Author
so it's not cheating if no one else is aware of how you obtained your answer then??.......even if you did cheat??
No Tallulah. The ONLY reason I posted was to wind up the trolls. I had no intention of posting until I saw them, as I saw a hint had already been given.

Yes, I posted on the listener thread, as I firmly believe that this is a Q&A site and as such I will give answers to questions where I can. If it annoys other people then even better :P

"How many more quizzes are you going to ruin squarebear".

I will help as many people as I possibly can with ANY question they are stuck on. May I remind you of the opening words on the home page of Answerbank:

"Ask questions, get answers. No matter how outrageous or practical your question may be, you will get answers from real people."

I assure you I have only one username.
