Today in The Times the crossword editor said that in an average week there were approx 5,700 Times Jumbo entries 'on paper' and only 150 via the crossword club. I am surprised that a) there are so many paper entries and b) so few electronic entries. He does literally pick one in its envelope out of a box each week and very occasionally picks an email winner. Obviously the chances of someone in the crossword club winning online is pretty low! I was lucky enough to win once via this club for the Sunday Times but now reckon this is unlikely to happen again so it's back to the paper copies and postage!

I'm really disappointed to read this Cheaton, having recently subscribed to the electronic club. I've always wondered how a winner is chosen when you can enter both by email and paper...... Hmmmm.... maybe someone should write to the Editor. Ed, if you're reading this, please reply!!!
