Power on the DVD player.
Open the tray.
Key in 9735 on the remote.
A secret menu should appear which lets you change the region as well as showing you the firmware revision and other settings.
Set it to region 0

Hi

This didn't work for me. With the player on and the door open, pressing any of the numbers brings up the hand icon.

Any other suggestions for accessing the secret menu?
