19D Poets echo society in genuine end of wittiness.

I'm inferring this is Elegists... I  am see S for society in legit, with S for end of wittiness at the end. And is it just E for echo at the start, and if so, with what justification?

21A Tire at one for what's socially acceptable in musical form.

I've got it as Fatigue but I'm similarly confused as to why. I can see 'at one', and U... but it all looks a bit messy.

21 I think Fugue would have been the musical form. Take out the U, what's socially acceptable (U,upper class) and replace it with At I, at one (in the clue).

19 E for Echo is quite common, it's  the Nato alphabet (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie etc). So the E at the beginning as you said...

Never crossword- thank you! I never even thought about the NATO alphabet.

And, yes, fugue makes sense.

Obvious now! :)

MargeSimpson, glad I could help.
