Your first letter in 1a is wrong - it should be a B; the clue for 1a has an ellipsis at the end, and refers to the solution for the following clue, 6a. You'll probably need Chambers for 5d.

mopy lacking spirit

if you put azed at the top you'd get more answers

I think it's beath . Course is beat plus h equals beath. It's in Chambers . I still find 28d difficult to parse  Timber tree? Right one will reveal venomous snake. Must be Acer but why?. Also don't understand why revive is restate! Assuming of course that 25d is greta. One who sought solitude famous acting to the end. Garbo doesn't fit!

Acer is a tree, one = ace + R(ight)

forget that - forgot the snake!!!!

a Racer is a venomous snake!

Greta looks correct - Greta Garbo (one who wanted to be alone) = great (famous), with the A for acting at the end = Greta

Restage - rest age ?
