Lear 'n'  Ed?

2 byroad - y (unknown) in Broad

1 seen as tabled

1 Tabled - (discussion) proposed in London, discussion declined in Washington

Ned is just another form of Edward, not specific to Lear.

I, too, wondered about TABLED until I found out that in the UK (London) if you table something you put it up for discussion, but in the US (Washington) if you table something you take it off  the table.

Go figure!
