Unless you're into a particular eastern country's cuisine, you may have some trouble with today's Quordle.
I'd never heard of it and today is my first Quordle failure since the first week i began playing and understood the rules. Not a happy chappy :-(((

I didn't get it either, although I have heard of the word. Shame on us
:(
I have heard of R**** but didn't get it. To be fair I concentrated on the other 3 & wasted several goes with different initial letters for ASTE.

3/4/9 & failed
I can guess the word and I'm not even playing it.

Smart Alec :-)
Surely such quizzes will inevitably stray into unknown territory for some of us from time to time - isn't that the whole idea. Or is the general opinion that this one is too exclusive ?

Canary, surely the whole idea of any puzzle is to make it as solvable for as many as possible. If it's too hard for the majority of the population, it garners less attention. Think the Times crossword which only Morse can solve:-)
The problem with these word games on the web is that they are aimed at English speaking people all over the world - what is common in one country may not be in another. Americans were complaining about 'bloke' the other week; British complain about US spelling of words like 'favor'.
Japanese cuisine is popular in many English speaking countries.
Ken, I agree to an extent, but this discriminates against the real whizz-kid crucerverbalists etc., they deserve their day as much as lesser mortals. The Oldie magazine has the right idea, it has two crosswords, one called "The Moron" and one "Genius" ;-)
Todays wordle isn’t exactly a common word in the UK but common in Portugal, Spain, Italy and Jewish. I got it because nothing else would fit, not through skill.

Gromit, anyone with an interest in horses would get today's Wordle, surely.
I'll not read the posts Ken until I've tried it , just in case there are any hints
I have no interest in horses.
I got it in 4, so I am happy.
Have heard of it but didn't get it either. Like davebro I wasted several goes with different initial letters for ASTE
