Is J. Turner an ABer?
What i believe 'teacher1' is getting at is that J Turner from Dunfermline appears to have (suspiciously) won quite a few times.
Question Author
Correct Ken ....... not quite a few times ..... many times ! lol
Why is it suspicious? Is J. Turner not real?
Conspiracy theory?
Tilly, i believe the prize goes to the first correct entry received/opened. Quite suspicious, don't you think, that one person (from many thousands, one would presume) could win so many times.

Many years ago, i recall there being a bit of a scandal when one Burnley family appeared to be having unnatural luck on the Sun bingo. Turned out one of their relatives worked in the printing department (or whatever) and had handed them 'winning' cards. Of course they were prosecuted.

The fact J Turner wins so many prizes may, or of course, may not mean that some skullduggery is afoot. :-/

We don't know Tilly ..... the name seems to be a regular winner on the phone-in entry. Perhaps this is one of the few phone entries !
It's a mystery!
Or, as Toyah sang, Ith A Mythtery :-)
Well taking into account the cost of the paper,postage/phone call, numerous pens over the year, lets hope its by chance/luck that a Turner from Dunfermline is a constant winner, and not by design.
Not even Mr F Ortunate, of Lucky Street, Luckyluckland has that much luck, fozzies:-J
i've been entering the express prize crosswords for many years without a win :-(

I won the Express Monday £1,000 crossword a few years back. My name is not Turner :)
It is so galling to see him AGAIN picking up a prize. Has anyone asked him if he marks his envelope or has he an “inside” source. ?
I usually have no idea how many entrants a particular competition has and there seems to be no easy way of finding out, and without knowing that what valid conclusions can be made
Some people submit multiple entries especially if you can do it by phone or text or email. If its within the rule's good luck to them
I do the puzzles in That's Life almost every week and have done since 2014. Not won anything. You can enter by post, text or email. It's not clear to me whether they allow people to submit multiple applications. If they do I don't think that's fair.
