DOuglas may have it. If not... What's the letter count please? Do you know any.
Skyte/skite can mean to slip/slide or things can skyte or skite if they fly off somewhere when you least want them to.
It's what they roll on in Harrogate. (Dave told me.)

SPICERACK, that sounds more like Brummie to me.
