Last one! 20a Capulet's first act, clumsily restricting Romeo's entrance. C?A?M The nearest thing I can come up with is CHARM in the sense that to charm is to put on an act, C=Capulet's first (letter) and RM is extracted from ROMEO. But I don't like it at all. Any help gratefully welcomed!

C(apulet) Ham (act clumsily) round R (Romeo)
C(apulet) + ham *clumsily act) around R(omeo/restricting) + charm (entrance)

Ham=act clumsily, missed that entirely (d'oh!)

Thank you Mamya and jj109!
As jj109 says ( but they meant = charm ), entrance is the definition as in to bewitch, pronounced en + trance
