The headline to the story captures what is most important to their readers – not that the woman was murdered, but that the house is worth £300k.

So what, its always been like that.

If you dont like it dont read it. Unlike the BBC where you are forced to pay for it if you want other channels you are not forced to read the DM to read other papers.
I can't think why the value of the house has been mentioned at all. Hardly a mansion. In the property market £300,000 is not a lot of money.
Agree it sounds bit insignificant. Maybe it's just to show it as an ordinary fairly well off couple not a couple of rough sleepers or travellers
because the mail always do make a point of it, indicating the cost of the properties in their articles.

Absolute tosh.
^I agree.
Question Author
How much is the house worth then?
Other papers focus on other insignificances in the headline like age 27 or blonde or gay. I'm sure the sun used to quote the vital stats 36 24 36 of somewomen
I don’t think Roy is challenging the price of the house.
I think hymie know's that really zacs
it does not mention the value of the house.
Question Author
The story has been updated with the house value removed from the headline – this will greatly annoy DM readers.
It did earlier. It's been changed.
it wouldn't annoy me at all, i don't read any paper now, but i used to by the Daily Mail once upon a time.
buy the DM
you sure it was there? Not wishful thinking from hymie desperate to knock something? someone?
it was there when i read the link,
Using murder to take a pop at the DM :(
It was there, TTT, although why Hymie (or the Daily Mail) thinks it's especially important to the reader is anyone's guess.
Using a womans murder for some kind of political points scoring over a newspaper has to be a new low on Answerbank.Shame on you,Hymie.
