A Russian woman who had given up meat for Lent is suing McDonald’s after claiming their tempting marketing made it impossible for her to resist buying a cheeseburger. She says she sees their advertising as //a violation of the law on consumer protection// She has asked the court to investigate and, if a violation has taken place, to force McDonald’s to compensate her for moral damages amounting to RUB 1,000 - about £10.

Ha, that's brilliant :-). I'm writing a list myself now... so far i have... cigarette companies, pubs, Radleys, Cadbury's, dog shelters and pigs -bacon ruined my vegetarianness-along with the hunger from breastfeeding.... Maybe I can sue my son...

This "devout Christian" seems to have misunderstood the fundamental meaning of Lent... a period of sacrifice as a test of self-discipline. A true Christian should encourage temptation so that it can be overcome.
