Form the second part of the clue, the solution to "36A Stop will be in France before one (5)" is clearly SERAI (French "sera" + I). Can anyone tell me in what way "Serai" means "Stop"?
One of the definitions of a serai is a caravanserai or an "inn" with a courtyard where in desert regions travellers use for a "stop" on a journey
Question Author
