This was hard I thought but I have finally finished clues and theme words and found shaded word however... can’t work out 14a. Don’t want answer just hint. I’m guessing anagram of nosegay with a letter missing. Have ?e?nag only letters left are a y or o
And... what does the theme have to do with Summer’s Voice?

Difficult to give a hint without a clue.
Probably an unclued one.
An anagram, after dropping a letter. I can't remember the wording.
14a. Deficient nosegay wounded Joan. (6)
It's a name for Joan, I think in Scottish.
Deficient means drop the last letter before anagram.
Hint - Last half of name is a worry.
Sorry, Clueless... I realised later that my post said much the same as your original query! (I was on the train, and using my phone - not ideal for AB). I hope you got 14 A sorted. I'd forgotten all about the title, I'll have a think...

Thank you all so much. Should have guessed the word as it is similar to the Irish.
Still have no idea why theme is called Summer voices though.
Thanks, Clueless... the title is a just a clue for a fairly well-known one of the thematic entries. 'Summer' refers to counting, not to the season.
