Well done, Jackdaw. There are two possible places for 'huff' and I managed to get the correct one quite quickly. The puzzle then worked out quite easily. There's an 11-letter clue bang in the middle of the grid which helps enormously if you work out the correct word.

Personally, I thought the answer might be 'huffy' in order to be the same part of speech as 'grumpy'. Alphapuzzles are, however, not very strict when it comes to the cryptic clue rules.
I take your point but 'grumpy behaviour' is a noun phrase so one would expect a noun answer.
