I decided to go into town for a message - a quick one. When I boarded the bus going home (which wasn't a Glider) of which some of the roads in Belfast now have. I have used the bus about two times in the last two years and knew I just had to click onto the paid boxes on the pavement (don't know the names) - I clicked with my card and it said verified. Hopped onto the bus (not a Glider) and automatically walked down to the masked passengers to take a seat.

As I was walking I thought I was hearing - Howie howie, so being deaf I nodded to the two passengers sitting - I said - is the conductor talking to me. They said yes, goes back up to him and through the muffled noise of his mask I guessed he wanted me to place the pass on his ticket thing which I did.

Getting off the bus at my destination - I took off my own mask as there was a perspex screen between us and said to him "Please have some consideration for those that can't hear or lipread through this pandemic". I really said that to him. He didn't know where to look.

As I got off the bus the two passengers I had spoken to - gave me the thumbs up. The bus drivers in Belfast are notoriously obnoxious.

Not my experience at all I find the bus drivers politely ask if you are polite with them.
I thought the payment stands were only for gliders not normal buses. I still pay cash when I get on the bus as we don’t have gliders
