there may be an extra letter in the wordplay...
7a Flaky feline mascot returns after introduction to Easter Island (4)
10a It's liable to be dislodged when initially given out? Perhaps (3,4)
13d Where Fox and Disney finally get together in spring (6)

7 Eyot, I think - island. Toy, reversed, after E, introduction to Easter.

10 Leg Bail, cricket (I think!) anagram of Liable +g(iven).
I have a few answers but not 13d.

I am perplexed by the instruction:

Nine clues are common to each pane and must be entered in the same place in each.

I think , it should say THE ANSWERS must be entered...

Does this mean that since EYOT has no extra letter in wordplay, EYOT has to be entered in both panes?

Thanks.
Hankir, I'm not sure if Tony was the 'flaky feline mascot' - he's a tiger, used in Frosties, breakfast cereal. I kept the N aside, just in case - but am not 100% sure. Sorry!

PS I think the 'nine clues..'should be 'nine answers'.
Thanks NAC.

Is answer to One mostly seen in academia ,
an abbreviation of academia?
4 letter word for one truncated? No extra letter.
Thanks,Hankir. That answer is Uni, unit/one, shortened, and 'academia'.
Thanks NAC.
That answer and answer to down clue Successes.... should be useful in starting grid entries.
UNI goes in both grids but EYOT only in the right side one, hankir (yes, it is to[n]y the tiger).
'Successes' is just initial letters (the word 'here' is just waffle).
13d is a double def of 'spring' and an odd mathematical term (where X and Y axes meet in the middle of an '+' shape) ORIGIN
Thanks ProfessorM.

X and Y meet seems like an unnecessarily difficult clue.

Only half solved so may be back or give up.

Thank you Neveracrossword & hankir
Yes, that's what I thought, hankir (it's not the only one but it's certainly the worst!).
...still, ORIGIN is a straight answer and goes in both sides.
Thanks ProfessorM.
I have both in Col.6.

What is
2a? By deception...
16a . Weather guy...

2d. Enthusiastic..
3d.Lucy's capital...
2. Fineers, gets by deceptions. Anagram of 'fine rose', without the 'o'.
Thanks NAC. Fineers , a new word.
Hankir, thanks. Yes, Fineers was new to me too.
PARRS (extra 'm' - R[m]S = 'weather guys')
(2) R[e]ARING - extra 'e'
(3) L(ucy's capital) + E[c] = 'city' + (snoop)Y's 'last' = LEY [extra 'c']
Did not realize Lucy is French; so capital is easy to figure out.
I think Enthusiastic ...is Caring, double definition.
...look back a little bit, hankir.
