Ache last letter brought up
Sorry missed Ache for long
I presume saws is for CUTS
I have SAYS on the basis of SAY for "Perhaps" and S for end of "Cuts"
but can't see where "Layabout" fits in ???
3d each - ache (long) with last letter to first
6d. saws is the only word that fits cuts
Question Author
dannyk, I thought saps, when you sap your strength, your strength is cut? - a sap can be a layabout or how else does layabout fit in? Cheers
WAS reversed + last letter of perhapS.
Was is LAY (as in "the town was/lay on the other side of the river") - 'about' is reversal indicator.
Thanks Sedge, that's a big help
Looks like this could go on "In finitum" another suggestion is that
the "APS is the ending of the word "perhaps" and the ending of "cuts" is S giving us SAPS for a layabout ???
if it was saps then layabout would be plural i.e layabouts.
