Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

2 iffy weasel ........under synonyms for retreat(reverse)and a motor vehicle for snow with caterpillar tracks?

Thanks mallyh but I have got weasel for another clue which is definitely right. I am wondering if No.3 could be voles (although the fact that this is plural makes it dubious). Up against it = V and then another word for only is sole (anag = oles) making voles!

3 best I could get for 3 is CIVET- anagram of V for versus/up against +IT +CE (French for this but doesn't mean only or IN (en) in French)

3 This will probably sound daft, but there's a saying, 'up against the wall'.
The wall in French is ' le mur'

Kind of you fiction - yes elliemay1 was a real star (still is I am sure!). I will think on racoon (just going out with dogs!) and I don't have it anywhere else in the quiz.

Thanks mallyh - another one to think about. I was wondering about cougar but can't parse it. Whilst out I was thinking it might be another word for smooth reversed inside a car,bus,van etc but have got nowhere.
