Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Grid almost filled in, I know the 'theme' I've found the woman, I've found the 'receptacle' for the last word. But, I can't trace the 'obnoxious' item. The woman is 11 letters, the receptacle is 11 letters (one crossing the woman) so the 'obnoxious thing has to be 9 letters long (I think) Am I correct in thinking it's a word that takes in the last blank cell?
Please could someone point me in the right direction (that is if you've understood my garbled paragraph!)
Also 18 down: Australian army acquires taste for shrew-like creature (6) AGOUT? (is it A or I at the end?

18 Has an A at the end, from Australian Army, with Gout, taste, inside.
Ripper, the 'nasty' reference in the quotation, saying is an anagram indicator - so you just need to spot the nine-letter word (in a different form).

the receptacle is split in the column. The middle O belongs to a jumble across in that row ... it's an anagram of ....9 letters
i put an A ...thinking A...A for austr army
