It's always the tiddlers that get me. 5d Ballet moves not used by Degas. P-S. I can make a guess at the answer as pas, which is certainly a term in ballet meaning step but is not a plural so parsing the clue puzzles me. I may have 5a wrong - the clue is "Such sweet sorrow" section in a Berger novel, and I have parting. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Degas is French and ne pas = French for "not"
