stabilise is an anagram I think of Islesabit
25 Stabilise - anagram (scilly/silly) of Isles a bit
Hind, how the very posh may pronounce Hound
Pronouncement- scilly sounds like silly, thus indicating anagram. Definition is support
25a anag suggested by Scilly=silly
anag of 'isles a bit'
Anagram of isles a bit
Hind - how the queen would pronounce hound

thanks, I see now
Clue is not great but I think there was a question mark at the end of the clue in the paper
In fact both had question marks in the paer, thus indicating the clues/answers were a bit suspect
Question mark or not the queen would not pronounce hound as hind.
Question Author
I don't like the hound/hind bit. probably asI am not a native speaker and certainly not one who speaks like the Queen!
