Yes indeed. We found the endgame very satisfactory. Yes it was a steady solve but we have solved very slowly.
Very nice. Enjoyable, and the theme is, unashamedly, one of my favourites!

Many thanks, Twin.
Great fun - great construction. Thanks Twin :-)
Also took me a bit longer than perhaps it should have done but most satisfying and enjoyable and a lovely clear endgame sans monkey business after some quite detailed work once the source had been identified. My type of Listener and why I look forward to them. Tough enough in parts but clear and logical and never excruciating. Many thanks to Twin!
Being a great fan of the theme and all stuff related to it, I found this quite straightforward once I twigged what was going on. Very nice working of the material with no grid-staring or fiddly bits. Thanks Twin (is this a debut?).

I shall be away next week so will take this opportunity to wish all posters a very happy Christmas.
Once I spotted the theme just over half way through I was able to sprint to the finish in no time at all.

It's unusual to find clues that have interesting surfaces and/or cryptic constructions and are easy to solve. I thought there were several such examples in this puzzle, plus a few tougher ones. I didn't find the hint was necessary as I'd finished the puzzle before working it all out, but it was a useful device to enable the names to be incorporated as ordinary words.
I really enjoyed this one, although it took me rather longer to work out the location in question than it should have! All very tidy in the endgame.
Slow and steady here too, with many clues reminiscent of Sabre at his most devious. I'm not a fan of the theme myself but the various elements were clearly signposted and everything fell neatly into place. The location was cleverly done, I thought.
Another slow and steady here. Though a fan of the theme, I could not list off the thematic names. I would like to say a word for the clue to 8 down which made me laugh.
Astonishing grid and top quality clues, thanks Twin.

I worked out the theme after spotting the character, but needed all the additional help, including the hint to complete those fiendish clues. Most enjoyable.
I'm a bit late to the party, but I thought this was very neatly constructed and enjoyable. It was inevitably much easier once the penny dropped - but, for me, the penny did take some time to do just that.
Initially quite hard - perhaps I was just not on form - 90 minutes groping around and not much to show for it apart from the more obvious grid answers.

But a second attempt cracked it in a further hour or so - the final replacement was very neat.

Thanks Twin
