Can anyone help please? I have the clue and I have have the answer. What I would like to know is how the answer is reached. The clue is from the Daily Mail crossword Monday 2nd November. The clue is - Deceive local doctor on one government farm issue (7, 3). The answer is Suckling Pig.

suck in with L (local) +GP + 1G
FF Should this be Suck in, then GP with one. If it's 7,3 no room for the L

I was going off what the OP said- that the answer was suckling pig, although that is of course 8,3
maybe OP slight mistake but no problems
