Anyone else noticed the increasing frequency with which the same (or very similar) clues are appearing on the same day in different publications' croswords?

For example, from yesterday:

Times 25,885
23a Hot fruit loaf gets left out? (6)

Financial Times 14,720
30a Hot bread, one left out (6)

Don't really tackle enough daily cryptics to notice this, but I'm sure that on at least one occasion the same clue has appeared in two different puzzles in the same paper on the same day! The Times Jumbo and the Listener are on the same double-page spread and I think I remember the same word appearing with two very similar clues...

I think it's probably just coincidence. Some words do lend themselves to the same basic idea though so setters just end up accidentally copying each other.
