Hp 1510 Printer Missing Driver

I need some help with my hp 1510 printer.
I bought this a few weeks back, but when i put in the installation CD there was one driver that it wouldnt install.
I downloaded the dj1545_145 driver, run it at this completed the set up.

Unfortunatly everytime I turn my pc on and try to use the printer it wont work and instructs me to connect a printer!!
The only way i can print something off is i delete all hp folders, install it again and install driver.

Anybody give me advice on how to resolve this before this device gets thrown across the room!!!

I am Not too sure what is your problem. In one instance you are unable to print but then you appear to have found a method by which you can. You could try HP's Print and Scan Doctor and, if that fails, go back with a complaint to where from you bought the Printer. Click to download the Print and Scan Doctor.:-...

Thanks for your reply.

In order to print anything I have to install CD go through installation process then download driver. When I switch computer off and go back on the next day I have to go through this process again. Its not a problem with the product.

Thanks for having responded so quickly to my comments.

I am now wondering if the problem is with your Computer which, for some reason, is rejecting the Printer's drivers.

What PC do you have, what is your Operating System ( Windows XP, Vista, W7 or whatever).

Its a dell pc I have with windows 7, o-s 64.

My mind is working with a view to finding a solution to your problem but, I do need to ask a few further questions.

Do you have an Anti Virus Programme along with Malware protection.
If so, what are they, and have you done recent scans with them.

I could be completely on the wrong track, but I am thinking that perhaps a 'nasty' has got into your computer and, if such has, it's removal is immediately required.

Incidentally, my Desktop Computer is an HP and so is my Printer. My Laptop is now a Lenovo which has replaced a Dell which is still working well for my niece to whom I gave it.

Anti virus is all up to date and done a full scan, no viruses
You haven't said anything about Malware which is Not a virus but can cause things to go haywire in a computer.

If you have Not got a Malware Protection Programme, I suggest you download the free edition of Malwarebytes and run it through to scan your computer. Do Not accept any offer to try the Pro Version which is unnecessary for home comps.

If not malware, then maybe the driver is out of date.

Perhaps do a complete uninstall of all the printer software, unplug it from the PC, then download from here.........

Also, I would like you to try the Print & Scan Doctor as indicated above ^^^

I have used it and, whilst it has solved minor problems for me, only recently I used it to fix a printing problem on my sister-in-law's machine.

Strange as it may sound, try using a different usb socket when connecting and re-installing the drivers.

Thanks for your replies. Still no joy.
When I bought the printer, I had to buy a USB cable to go with it, could it be cable that is the issue?
