8d Author's hens run dry round French city, deserted. Ans has been given as Charles Dickens but why ? I can get the hens leaving C arles Dick but can't see how the rest works.
15a Latin forebear's leaning over for emphasis. I think answer is italic which must be something to do with Italian but how do we lose the an and gain a c? And what about the leaning over?
Thanks
