eton?

I had thought it might be, until I got 'ALHAMBRA' for 14D, making the last letter 'A' rather than 'N'.
What's the clue leading to Alhambra?
Question Author
13D, 14D Put on palace inquisitor (3,8).

Reference is to G & S 'The Gondoliers' - Don Alhambra del Bolero being the Grand Inquisitor in that work.
Stoa?
Yes, lots of references to Stoa here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stoicism
could it be San Domingo, which leads to Eton?
answer = NO.
Question Author
Stoa looks very likely; I take it it was a colonnade that led to an ancient Greek or Roman Academy?

Thank you, everybody.
I think the wordplay is "It's to" = "SA (sex appeal / it) has TO"
Me too -- Ive got Stoa but lord knows why To in S-A (backwards)?
