41a Heard about animals beginning to tamper with wall hangings. We have T?P?S?R?E?. I think the defininition is "with wall hangings" and the answer is "TAPESTRIED" with "heard"being "TRIED" but She Who Must Be Obeyed reckons that the definition is "wall hangings" so the answer is "TAPESTRIES". I would be grateful for an independent opinion on this, preferably from someone who has submitted either answer on line and been 100% correct! many thanks in advance

For my money - I would go with Tapestried otherwise 'heard' would be 'hears'

Heard -tried, about apes + t(beginning to tamper). The with makes it tapestried.
