I'm looking for a shirt that will take cuff links, but does not have a double cuff.

Do such things still exist ?

I've had a look at M&S online and as far as I can see the only shirts suitable for cuff links have double cuffs.
Thanks for any advice.

try looking at some American sites....also some French brands...
Maybe a man's clothing shop might be of assistance.

Can't think of any National names tho.
ive only seen double cuffs............ do you have a slaters menswear near you ? or they may have a site ?

I hope you find something suitable somewhere

Thanks for the link, alba. Unfortunately they all seem to have double cuffs....nice shirts, though..
aww phooey, sorry LadyA :(

I'll keep on trying (I'm very trying y'know)
Question Author
Thanks, alba...I'm beginning to think it's a lost cause, though...
Found Woods of shropshire again, but pink shirts :)

hawes&curtis.com plus
robertold.co.uk

the latter 2 say they have single cuff shirts.
If you know someone who is handy with a sewing machine, could you buy a single cuff shirt, take the buttons off, make a small button hole on the inside and slip a cufflink through?
Can you not work a discreet buttonhole where the button should be ? Or get a shop which does alterations to do it for you ? It would be really simple. However, it would not permit the cuff to sit correctly, since a cuff can be designed to be one thing or another, but not both
not sure if its the right colour, or price range. have a look at the link.
hawes and curtis are expensive but they do single cuff shirts.

Thank you everyone.
I think I will have to go and have a proper look at some shirts. The trouble is that, although these websites say the shirts have single cuffs, the pics look like double ones to me.
Possibly just the pictures being deceptive.
I'll go on a mission tomorrow to various menswear shops and let you know. Do appreciate your suggestions and there are some great shirts out there.

Hello everyone!

Success!

Been into the town this morning to Slater's menswear and they came up trumps with a couple of shirts just the right colours , right sizes and with single cuffs and cuff link possibilities. Hurrah!

An assistant helped me check through loads of their shirts to be sure that they would take cufflinks.....it doesn't say on the packs and some do, most don't.
Anyway, mission accomplished.
Thank yo all for your help.

i love a happy ending :)
