'Amazing'.....Overused nowdays?

I think so, it's become cliched, almost every exploit is described as 'amazing'. I blame The X Factor and its ilk......What's the concensus on here?

I find it amazing that you're prepared to comment of this clearly amazing trend within broadcasting. Commentators spend an amazing amount of time trying to bring you amazing programmes about amazing people, doing amazing things, yet you're still prepared to make quite amazing comments about them. Amazing, isn't it?

The programme it is most overused on must be 60 Minute Makeover....................if someone attempted to makeover my house in 60 minutes they would amazingly be dead.

'Incredible' is also amazing in its frequency; incredible , in fact. And the incredible thing about it is that incredible is used to describe what is not at all incredible, but quite normal and unexceptional. Amazing!
in football commentaries over the years, adjectives have been replaced by superlatives - very seldom does a keeper ever make a good save, it's always a great or fantastic one
