why the term "studying medicine" -surely pharmacy students study medicine - not future doctors?

The science of treating disease with drugs or curative substances, as distinguished from surgery and obstetrics.
The medical profession.

Would be Pharmocologists study pharmacology. ...the science dealing with the preparation, uses, and the effects of drugs.
Two completely different things .






I guess pharmacologists study medicines, which is not quite the same thing.
Pharmacists study alot more than medicines, trust me lol
